down the ocean

While digging around in the basement last night I came across this picture of me and some of my best friends from high school at Senior Week. (Not familiar with Senior Week in your part of the world? Here's a description from the ever-reliable Urban Dictionary.)



I'm still in touch with seven of the girls in the photo so I immediately scanned it and sent it out, eliciting a flurry of funny comments in response. Look at all those neon floral bikinis! We look like something out of an episode of Saved By the Bell. (Not that there's anything wrong with that btw. I'm not ashamed to admit I totally idolized Kelly Kapowki.)
