summer engagement

Last night the three of us went to an engagement party for our dear friends Carrie and Joe. The party was a charming backyard BYOpicnic dinner on Lake Monona. As a gift, the hostess asked guests to contribute a dish for a special picnic basket for Carrie and Joe's dinner. She packaged the food with recipes for each dish, special food & love related quotes, and personal notes from friends.






(There was a second punchbowl of lemonade, which is what Matteo is sampling. Don't get your panties in a bunch, people.)
