hot summer days

Last week was HOT and I was LOVING it! Today...eh, not so much. Today's high was 61 and we'll be lucky if it makes it back into this mid 70's anytime soon.

We spent most of our time outside last weekend. We went to a few parties but for the most part, we were in the backyard sitting in our Adirondack chairs in the shade, drinking lemonade and not wearing a lot of clothes.











Besides celebrating my birthday, we also went to a graduation party and an Italian festival.

Matteo's first dip in a pool last Fourth of July

We're thinking about joining a pool this summer. Matt and I both grew up with regular access to a pool and while the mild summer weather in Wisconsin doesn't necessitate a pool quite the same way as a sticky Maryland summer does, it would be awfully nice.

Plus, as much as Matteo loves his little inflatable pool, there really isn't a lot of room for the three of us in there together.
